Welcome
Who are we?
We are a nonprofit, non-denominational organization dedicated to giving our members some time away from their daily routine to socialize, meet new people and listen to interesting guest speakers in a friendly, relaxed setting. Our members are women of all ages, from stay-at-home moms and women on maternity leave to women who work part-time or with flexible hours, to retirees. And while we’re called the “North Leaside Women’s Group” you don’t have to live in or even near North Leaside to join. We welcome new members!
When do we meet?
We meet every Tuesday (Sept to June) for coffee at 9:30 a.m. and a speaker from 10-11 a.m.
Where do we meet?
We meet at Northlea United Church at 125 Brentcliffe Rd. Enter through the doors on the east side of the church, past the shed and stroller parking. Go up the stairs, through the doors, up the inside stairs and through the second set of doors; we meet in the room straight down the hall. We’ll have a membership desk to welcome you.
Childcare?
Excellent babysitting for newborn through kindergarten is provided by warm, dedicated caregivers. Nursing mothers of infants are welcome to breastfeed during the meeting.
Cost?
Cost for the 20 winter/spring 2012 sessions is $80. Babysitting is $3 for one child, $5 for two. Guests are welcome to attend for free up to two times, after which we ask that they join and pay for a membership. Memberships will be pro-rated if joining later in the spring.
Are you looking to meet new people in a friendly environment? Come out and see what The North Leaside Women’s Group has to offer. Bring a friend or the neighbor. New visitors are always welcome.
